Cross-chain bridge

A cross-chain bridge is a link that connects two different blockchain networks. Multiple bridges are based on the “Lock and Mint” method, which locks assets on one network and issues tokens of equal value on another network. For example, the basic process of moving assets through Orbit Bridge is as follows:

  • First, the validated information is combined by validators to store assets in the Vault of Chain A based on the user’s request.

  • Second, the information exchanged between Chain A and Chain B is verified through the group of validators of Orbit Bridge.

  • Third, the validated information is combined by validators and issued on Chain B through a smart contract.
